Eclipse GlassFish
Embedded Server Guide
Release 8
Contributed 2018 - 2026
This document explains how to run applications in embedded Eclipse GlassFish and to develop applications in which Eclipse GlassFish is embedded. This document is for software developers who are developing applications to run in embedded Eclipse GlassFish. The ability to program in the Java language is assumed.
Note: Since Eclipse GlassFish 7.1.0, Embedded Eclipse GlassFish is a fully supported and actively maintained feature, covered by the internal test suite. Running applications from the command line using the Embedded Eclipse GlassFish JAR is the recommended approach and is suitable for production deployments, including cloud environments. Embedding Embedded GlassFish into Java applications or using for testing purposes is also supported.
